This document provides the UK government response to the Independent Commission for Aid Impact’s (ICAI) rapid review of UK aid’s International Climate Finance commitments.

The UK government welcomes ICAI’s report and fully accepts its recommendations. We share ICAI’s view that International Climate Finance (ICF) is key to helping the most vulnerable countries adapt and respond to global warming by providing them with access to more, better and faster finance.

The UK’s ICF is also a key tool to help accelerate the global shift to net zero. We are implementing or planning to implement specific actions to address each recommendation and embed learning from ICAI’s findings. This will support the UK’s international priority to pursue a world free from poverty on a liveable planet.
