This document lists service suppliers other than the original equipment manufacturer who are authorised to carry out the thorough examination, operational testing, repair and overhaul of lifeboats, rigid rescue boats, launching appliances and on-load release gear.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) authorises the existing MCA approved Independent Lifeboat Service and Testing Organisation (ILSTO), until the time their approval expires, to conduct this work. You can find information about this in the marine guidance note MIN 424 (M) Paragraph 3.3.
