Details
This handbook is primarily a guide for inspectors on how to carry out non-association independent school inspections under section 109(1) and (2) of the Education and Skills Act 2008.
We also publish this for schools and other interested parties so that they are aware of Ofsted’s inspection processes and procedures under the education inspection framework (EIF).
You can also read the ‘Ofsted EIF inspections and the EYFS’ guidance for more information about what providers need to know about delivering the early years foundation stage, and Ofsted inspections.
