The ‘Agreement on Facilities for Industrial Relations Duties and Trade Union Activities in ECGD’ is also known as the Departmental Whitley Council Agreement.

It was agreed in June 2008 and revised in September 2011.

The agreement covers the following areas:

• trade union facilities and staff resources

• facilities for the trades union side and accredited union representatives

• industrial relations duties

• trade union activities

• health and safety activities

• departmental Whitley Council  committees and sub-committees
