These changes continue to promote good governance concerning the safe management and use of controlled drugs in England and Scotland, has been published.

This information is intended for organisations that are required to appoint a controlled drugs accountable officer and other organisations and individuals in the health and social care sectors with a responsibility or interest in ensuring effective systems for the safe and effective management and use of controlled drugs.

These have been laid before Parliament. They come into force on 1 April 2013.
