We have received a number of requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 about aspects of the new ‘Life in the UK’ tests. These requests asked for the following information:
- Any assessment, analyses or reports made of the possibility of impersonation during the tests - i.e. someone other than the person applying for citizenship taking the on-line test; full details of any measures proposed to deal with such problems
- For any documents, analyses or reports relating to the pilot scheme held in June 2005 for the Life in the UK Test.
- The number of people who took Life in the UK tests within the first month; the number of candidates who passed in that period; the number of candidates who failed; the pass rate expressed as a percentage
