Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000
Thank you for your email of 28 April in which you requested from the Insolvency Service:
“I note the following in the commentary on the quarterly company insolvency statistics that were published earlier today:
- between 1 January and 31 March 2022 (Q1 2022), there were 25 company voluntary arrangements; and
- between 26 June 2020 and 31 March 2022, 36 companies obtained a moratorium and ten companies had a restructuring plan registered at Companies House (plus two in Scotland)
Would I be able to get a list of the companies that comprise the above numbers? I.e. a list of companies that filed a CVA in the quarter / obtained a moratorium /registered a Restructuring plan?”
Your request has been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
I can confirm that the Insolvency Service holds the information that you have requested, and I have provided the information in Annex A.
Annex A contains three tables. Table 1 contains a list of all Company voluntary arrangements in the UK registered with Companies House in Q1 2022. Table 2 contains all moratoriums in England & Wales registered with Companies House between 26th June 2020 to 31st March 2022. Table 3 contains all restructuring plans in England & Wales and Scotland registered with Companies House between 26th June 2020 to 31st March 2022.
Under section 16 of the Act (Advice and Assistance) you may find it useful to note:
The list of case was sourced from Companies House. Companies with multiple insolvency procedures are included multiple times to give a full record of all registered insolvencies. This means that there may be some duplicate company numbers.
