Dear

1. Re: Freedom of Information Act 2000

Thank you for your email of 15 March in which you requested from the Insolvency Service:

  1. Regarding the office or workplaces identified in your earlier response to me, how many people were recorded as having entered the building on Monday 14th March?

  2. Does your organisation have a current policy regarding how much time staff must spend in the office? This may be known as the hybrid working policy, return to office policy working from home policy or similar. If so, please supply a copy or if it is easier then please summarise it. An example of what such a summary may look like is available here https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questions/detail/2022-02-07/119763

Your request has been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

I can confirm the agency holds the information that you have requested and I have provided answers to your questions below.

  1. Regarding the office or workplaces identified in your earlier response to me, how many people were recorded as having entered the building on Monday 14th March? According to our Building Access System (BAS), 56 people entered the Birmingham office on 14th March.

  2. Does your organisation have a current policy regarding how much time staff must spend in the office? This may be known as the hybrid working policy, return to office policy working from home policy or similar. The Insolvency Service currently has a temporary hybrid approach with colleagues expected to be in the office or other face to face work settings in general an average of two days per week, pro-rated for those working alternative working patterns and taking in to account pre-covid working arrangements. People have a range of working patterns and jobs; some of which require such attendance more frequently. This approach will be kept under review.

If you are not satisfied with the response we have provided you and would like us to reconsider our decision by way of an internal review (IR), please contact our Information Rights Team at foi@insolvency.gov.uk or by post at:
