The Interministerial Group for Business and Industry met on 21 January 2025 via video conference. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of State for Industry, Sarah Jones MP (UK government).

The attending ministers were:
- UK government - Minister for Industry, Sarah Jones MP
- Scottish Government - Minister for Business, Richard Lochhead MSP
- Welsh Government - Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning, Rebecca Evans MS
- the Northern Ireland Executive was represented by a senior official
What was discussed
- the importance of shared objectives on economic growth and investment
- the UK government’s growth mission, modern industrial strategy and a desire to work in partnership to meet its ambitions across the four nations
- a commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue through the IMG forum
An updated version of the group’s Terms of Reference was agreed, which also included an agreement to meet quarterly.
