The Net Zero, Energy and Climate Change Interministerial Group met on 17 October 2024, in Edinburgh. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, The Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP (UK government).

What was discussed
The Interministerial Group considered items on meeting our Net Zero ambitions and decarbonising the power sector, which included discussion of each administration’s priorities, challenges, key milestones and areas for cross-UK action in meeting these ambitions.
The group also agreed to endorse a paper on future collaboration which outlines presumptive principles for engagement, and resolved to refresh the group’s Terms of Reference before the group’s next meeting.
