Details

In 2015, the UK government published the Business Visits and Events Strategy, which outlined how it intended to help grow the Business Events Industry within the UK.

This International Business Events Action Plan (2019-2025) serves as an update to that strategy, setting out in greater detail a UK government offer of support to the industry.

This offer has been informed by our experience of implementing the strategy so far, in particular the advice of experts sitting on the Events Industry Board and research by VisitBritain on what motivates international event organisers to choose a destination for their event. The UK government’s support offer applies to locations across the UK, and it is designed to complement ongoing work within the Devolved Administrations.

If you have any questions on the Action Plan please contact eventsupport@visitbritain.org.

The International Business Events Action Plan is published alongside the Tourism Sector Deal.
