This research explains 15 types of benefits, beyond direct financial income, from international students studying in UK higher education. The study identifies benefits for the UK, students themselves and their home countries. Benefits to the UK include indirect economic benefits (leading to trade), professional networks, skilled migration, a network of UK ‘ambassadors’, building trust and influence. Overall the report shows a highly positive picture of the benefits of international students studying in the UK.
