Details

The Committee has written to the Chloe Smith MP, Minister for the Constitution, welcoming the government’s consultation on measures to protect the integrity of elections.

The government’s consultation implements the Committee’s recommendation in its 2017 report, Intimidation in Public Life, that the government consult on the introduction of a new electoral offence of intimidating Parliamentary candidates or campaigners.
