This guidance provides a supporting framework for lead local flood authorities (LLFAs) to conduct flood investigations under section 19 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
The guidance explains how LLFAs can:
- decide whether to investigate a flood
- carry out a flood investigation
- analyse findings
- develop recommendations with partners
- create and publish a report
