Details
The following regulations under the Investigatory Powers Act were laid in Parliament on 12 March 2018. These regulations cover a number of technical provisions giving effect to the Act’s provisions:
- the Investigatory Powers (Codes of Practice) Regulations 2018
- the investigatory Powers (Technical Capability) Regulations 2018
- the Investigatory Powers (Review of Notices and Technical Advisory Board) Regulations 2018
- the Investigatory Powers (Interception by Businesses for Monitoring and Record-keeping purposes) Regulations 2018
In addition, the following regulations were also laid in Parliament on 12 March 2018. These regulations allow telecommunications operators the opportunity to disclose statistical information, allowing for greater transparency:
