Details

The Department of Health, Public Health England and NHS England want to appoint an additional partner from voluntary and community sector organisations to join the Health and Care Voluntary Sector Strategic Partner Programme for 2014 to 2015.

The partner will have expertise in the impact of work and worklessness on health and wellbeing.

The document sets out the purpose of the Strategic Partner Programme, details the outcomes and activities that the Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England will invest in through the Programme in 2014 to 2015 and the criteria for assessing applications.

The Strategic Partner Programme aims to:

  • increase capacity and capability within the voluntary and community sector to engage in improving health and care, public health and reducing health inequalities

  • establish relationships between DH, NHS England and PHE and strategic partners that bring the voluntary sector’s voice and expertise into national policy making and implementation.
