In November 2023, the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) ran an open survey (‘IP and Business Growth’) aimed at businesses of all sizes. The survey aimed to gather insights into the UK’s IP-backed finance ecosystem and IP insurance landscape.
The IPO received 83 (validated) responses. Of these, 69 respondents reported they hold a variety of IP. While the survey offers useful insights into the experiences of respondents, it should not be seen as a representative sample of the UK business population.
The responses received from the survey will contribute to the IPO’s ongoing policy work to better understand the UK’s IP- backed finance ecosystem and IP insurance landscape.
