Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 from National Grid Gas Distribution Limited.

The application contains a description of how the proposed changes may affect:

  • the disposals of radioactive waste
  • the use of best available techniques
  • the protection of the environment
  • the radiological impact on people is well within the safety limits and is as low as reasonably achievable
  • and take into account the economic and social factors
