Effluent types

• Waste stream A (WDA1): Trade effluent composed of rainfall-dependent surface water run-off from the main construction area (MCA) and dewatered groundwater and surface water collected in excavations from installation of the desalination plant shaft (intake tunnel)

• Waste stream B (WDA2): Trade effluent composed of groundwater anticipated to be encountered during installation of the pile caps associated with the SSSI bridge crossing foundations located to the north of the main construction area (MCA)

• Waste stream C (WDA3): Trade effluent composed of rainfall-dependent surface water run-off from water management zone 5 (WMZ5) within the temporary construction area (TCA)

• Waste stream D (WDA4): Trade effluent composed of rainfall-dependent surface water run-off from part of the associated development 6 (AD6) scheme and groundwater from installation of an overbridge over the Leiston Drain. The discharge may also potentially include small quantities of groundwater (if encountered) from shallow excavations

• Waste stream E (WDA5): Trade effluent composed of rainfall dependent surface water run-off from part of the associated development 6 (AD6) scheme (Valley Road and associated BR19 works) and groundwater from installation of an overbridge over the Leiston Drain. The discharge may also potentially include small quantities of groundwater (if encountered) from shallow excavations

• Waste stream F (WDA6): Trade effluent composed of rainfall-dependent surface water run-off from part of the associated development 6 (AD6) scheme (Lovers Lane Junction Improvements) and potentially small quantities of groundwater (if encountered) from shallow excavations

• Waste stream G (WDA7): Trade effluent composed of rainfall-dependent surface water run-off captured from the ancillary construction area (ACA) via water management zone 7 (WMZ 7)

• Waste stream H (WDA8): Trade effluent composed of rainfall dependent surface water run-off from the MDS Roundabout (part of the AD6 scheme) and potentially small quantities of groundwater (if encountered) from shallow excavations

• Waste stream I (WDA9): Trade effluent composed of rainfall dependent surface water run-off from water management zone 8 (WMZ 8)

Volumes

• Waste stream A (WDA1): Maximum of 17,280 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream B (WDA2): Maximum of 521 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream C (WDA3): Maximum of 3,042 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream D (WDA4): Maximum of 9,859 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream E (WDA5): Maximum of 1,110 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream F (WDA6): Maximum of 565 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream G (WDA7): Maximum of 5,357 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream H (WDA8): Maximum of 908 cubic metres per day

• Waste stream I (WDA9): Maximum of 916 cubic metres per day
