The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Sizewell C Limited.

Works within the fluvial floodplain or 8 metres of the Leiston Drain (main river).

Description of activity

Additional water vole displacement works, additional vegetation clearance including tree stump removal plus additional temporary security fencing within 8 metres of the Leiston Drain main river, near Sizewell, Suffolk.  Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) survey and removal works will also be carried out where vegetation clearance and water vole displacement are required, including along those stretches where the above activities are already permitted.
