Works (whether temporary or permanent) in, over, under or within 8m of the fluvial Middleton and Theberton Drains, which are both tributaries of the Minsmere River.
Description of activity
Carry out water vole displacement activities along the banks of the Middleton and Theberton Drains in the vicinity of the proposed Sizewell Link Road crossings. This involves the clearance of vegetation from the banks and channel, bank excavation and smoothing, plus use of geotextile matting to prevent the voles from returning. Temporary security fencing will also be installed around the works area.
