The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has a statutory duty, under Section 12 of the Equality Act 2006, to monitor progress on equality and human rights in Britain.

The EHRC published its first report under this duty, entitled ‘How Fair is Britain?’ in October 2010. ‘Is Britain Fairer?’ 2018 sets out developments since the Commission’s last review in 2015.
