Jean Lesley Askew has applied to the Environment Agency to vary a full licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 8/37/25/S/063 which authorises the abstraction of water from an off-stream reservoir at Spring Farm, Frating Road, Great Bromley, Colchester at National Grid Reference TM 09581 23711.

The variation is for the following: to increase the annual abstraction volumes from 1,820 cubic metres per year, to 15,000 cubic metres per year; and to increase the abstraction period from June to August, to April to October inclusive.

The abstraction is from a lined reservoir that is supported by runoff and winter drainage from farm fields and rain water harvested from farm buildings.
