J.F.D. Hargreaves Limited: applications made to abstract water

J.F.D. Hargreaves Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for three licences.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of these applications in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

Application NPS/WR/042281 is to vary licence serial number 4/29/09/*G/0022 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata (Chalk) at Low Farm, Thornton Curtis, Ulceby at National Grid Reference (NGR) TA 08962 18821.

The proposed changes include:

• Changing abstraction purpose from trickle irrigation to filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.

• Transferring the authorised abstraction volumes from trickle irrigation to the new purpose of filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.

• Changing the authorised abstraction period from the summer period (1 June to 31 October) for trickle irrigation to all-year for the new purpose.

Application NPS/WR/042284 is to vary licence serial number AN/029/0009/027 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata (Chalk) at East Hann Farm, Barrow-upon-Humber at NGR TA 08560 21860.

The proposed changes include:

• Changing abstraction purpose from filling a reservoir for subsequent trickle irrigation to filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.

• Transferring the authorised abstraction volumes from filling a reservoir for subsequent trickle irrigation to the new purpose of filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.

• Changing the authorised abstraction period from the summer period (1 June to 31 October) for filling a reservoir for subsequent trickle irrigation to all-year for the new purpose.

Application NPS/WR/042285 is to vary licence serial number AN/029/0009/010 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata (Chalk) at Low Farm, Thornton Curtis, Ulceby at NGR TA 09149 18721.

The proposed variation will increase the authorised hourly abstraction rate from 62 cubic metres to 80 cubic metres.
