J.N. Bentley Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from alluvium and river terrace deposits from points at Longbridge Sewage Treatment Works at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 27336 62935 to transfer it to Fisher’s Brook at NGR SP 27700 63003 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

117 cubic metres an hour

2,800 cubic metres a day

1,022,000 cubic metres a year
Abstraction will take place over a 3 year period until April 2028, for the purpose of construction dewatering. All water abstracted will be returned to the Brook.
