John Beeken, Andrew Beeken and Mark Beeken trading as Beeken Bros has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Newborough Main Drain within the North Level Internal Drainage Board at Crowland, Peterborough at National Grid Reference TF 22238 08874.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 50 cubic metres an hour
- 1,200 cubic metres a day
- 85,000 cubic metres a year
- Between 01 November to 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a storage reservoir.
The water will then be discharged and re-abstracted from drains within the North Level Internal Drainage Board for the purpose of spray irrigation between 01 April to 31 October inclusive in each year.
