John Robert James Knox has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 36/149 which authorises the abstraction of water from a tributary of the Scotchells Brook at Shanklin, Isle of Wight.

The variation applied for is to increase the annual abstraction quantity from 20,455 to 30,000 cubic metres, change the licensed purpose from ‘spray irrigation’ to ‘filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation’ and change the period of abstraction from April to October inclusive, to November to March inclusive.
