Details

The Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology (CST) and the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) have released a joint statement addressed to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and President Joe Biden. The statement follows a meeting between the two Councils in Washington, D.C.

The joint statement follows a commitment in the US-UK Leaders Joint Statement published in June 2021 calling for closer coordination between CST and PCAST to combine expertise on global challenges.

CST and PCAST are the UK and US government’s top level advisory bodies on science and technology. They provide advice directly to the Prime Minister and President.
