Kenny Hill Farms has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from un-named inland waters (drains) within the South Level System at Kenny Hill, Suffolk in the Mildenhall Internal Drainage Board between National Grid References TL 68309 79557 and TL 68397 79456.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

109 cubic metres an hour

873 cubic metres a day

45,461 cubic metres a year

between 01 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling up a reservoir which will subsequently be used for spray irrigation of farmland.
