Kier Construction Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from underground strata consisting of Superficial Deposits (interbedded sands, gravels, silts and clays) at HMP Full Sutton, Full Sutton, Yorkshire from the area defined by straight lines running between the following National Grid References (NGRs): SE 73670 54915, SE 74152 55296, SE 74089 54576 and SE 73807 54584 for the purpose of transferring it without intervening use to a ditch at HMP Full Sutton, Full Sutton, Yorkshire at NGRs SE 73731 54815, SE 73791 54686 and SE 74035 54589.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 594 cubic metres an hour
- 14,256 cubic metres a day
- 5,203,440 cubic metres a year
- All year.
Abstraction will take place for the purpose of dewatering for construction.
