This is the first full annual report from Matthew Taylor, Interim Director of Labour Market Enforcement.

It assesses labour market enforcement following the former Director’s 2018 – 2019 Strategy.

The annual report sets out:

  • an assessment of the extent to which labour market enforcement functions were exercised from April 2018 to October 2019 in accordance with the 2018/19 strategy recommendations

  • an assessment, as far as possible of the effect on the scale and nature of non‑compliance in the labour market

  • a statement of activities relating to the Director’s Information Hub undertaken in the reporting period
