Notice given under Schedule 2 to the Land Registration Rules 2003
References to the Land Registration Rules 2003
1.In this notice, a reference to a rule or Schedule by number is a reference to the rule or Schedule so numbered in the Land Registration Rules 2003 (SI 2003/1417), as amended from time to time.
Currency of notice
2.This Notice is made under rule 132 and Schedule 2 and shall be current for the purposes of Schedule 2 on and after 16 July 2020.
Applications made by telephone
3.Applications may be made by telephone to HMLR Customer Support Centre on the number provided from time to time on the HMLR website.
Service available
4.Arrangements have been made for dealing with the following applications by telephone pursuant to this notice:
(a) applications for an official copy of the register or title plan under rule 134;
(b) applications for an official copy of a deed or document under rule 135;
(c) applications for an historical copy of the register or title plan under rule 144.
When the service is available
5.Applications by telephone pursuant to this notice may be made at any time the HMLR Customer Support Centre telephone service is available.
Limitations on who can apply
6.Applications may be made under this notice by citizen customers only. For the purposes of this notice, citizen means an individual acting on their own behalf who is not a conveyancer as defined in rule 217(a).
Payment
7.The application fee must be paid by credit or debit card at the time of making the application.
Other conditions and limitations on applications
8.Each applicant shall provide such information requested by a member of HM Land Registry as is required in the form prescribed for the application when made by way of post, document exchange or personal delivery.
Result of application
9.If an application including payment is successful, the official or historical copy applied for will be issued to the applicant by post.
