Details

A national surveillance and treatment programme for latent TB infection (LTBI) in recent migrants, aged between 16 and 35 years, from high-incidence countries, has been in operation since 2015.

Whereas testing and treatment data collected under the scheme was initially contained within the Public Health England (PHE) Tuberculosis in England annual report, from 2021 a separate report on the LTBI testing and treatment programme has been produced. The first presents an analysis of data up to the end of the financial year 2019 to 2020.
