The Climate Change Act (2008) includes requirements to undertake a regular 5 yearly UK-wide Climate Change Risk Assessments (CCRA), and to set out a statutory National Adaptation Programme (NAP) in response to the risks identified in the CCRA. Work on the CCRA and NAP have been led by Defra, working closely with other Government departments including DECC. This is DECC’s statement to accompany the NAP.
