Details of the application
Lee-on-the-Solent Golf Club Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Alver at Lee-On-The-Solent, Hampshire, between National Grid References SU 57462 02449 and SU 57477 02432.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

3.5 cubic metres an hour

83 cubic metres a day
-
15,000 cubic metres a year.
The water will be used to fill a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
