Details
The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) met on 21 September 2022, and voted to reduce the Asset Purchase Facility’s (APF) stock of purchased assets through a programme of gilt sales. Following this decision, an open letter from the Governor of the Bank of England was sent to the Chancellor on 22 September 2022. The Chancellor replied to the Governor on 22 September 2022
