Details

On 18 June 2013, Edward Timpson, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children and Families, wrote a letter to The Association of Directors of Children’s Services, the Local Government Association and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives, outlining his response to local government’s feedback on proposals for improving adopter recruitment, assessment and approval.

On 8 August 2013 the department announced that £16 million will be given to adoption agencies to attract more adopters.
