Lincoln Golf Club Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial numbers 03/28/69/0259 and 03/28/69/0136 which authorise the abstraction of water from April to September inclusive from two lagoons fed by underground strata comprising of Alluvial Deposits at National Grid References SK 84215 79240 and SK 84373 79277 respectively.

Water is transferred from one lagoon under licence 03/28/69/0259 to a second lagoon. Water is then abstracted from the second lagoon for the purpose of spray irrigation under licence 03/28/69/0136. The variation applied for is: to increase the annual quantity from 31,818 cubic metres per year to 40,000 cubic metres per year; the annual quantities are aggregated. There are no other changes proposed.

The proposed abstractions lie within the Lower Trent and Erewash Abstraction Licensing Strategy.
