People prohibited from running an employment agency or business

This documents lists people prohibited from running an employment agency or employment business due to misconduct or unsuitability.
The Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate (EAS) can apply to an employment tribunal to ban someone from running, or being involved in running, an employment agency or employment business. This relates to section 3(a) of the Employment Agencies Act 1973.
The maximum period of any prohibition order is 10 years. Anyone who breaches a prohibition order can face criminal proceedings.
