Letter from the Minister of State responding to the Council Leader’s letters of 12 and 19 July 2024 about the Council’s continued work to lead and reform the Council with support of a new Improvement and Assurance Board.
The Minister wishes to review these arrangements in the autumn and has asked the Council and the Chair of the Council’s Improvement and Assurance Board to provide an update in early October 2024 on:
- the Council’s progress
- compliance with the Best Value duty
- how the Board is working
