This resource is based on the successful findings of our supported housing pilots and provides good practice to local authorities who are looking to address poor-quality supported housing and to drive up standards in their area.
The year-long supported housing pilots which concluded in September 2021 were independently evaluated with successful findings. The Supported housing oversight pilots: independent evaluation was published in April 2022.
This resource outlines the interventions the pilot authorities found effective and why they were beneficial. We are publishing this good practice resource to help local authorities to better manage their local supported housing.
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is also expanding the work of the earlier pilots through the £20m Supported Housing Improvement Programme where this resource can be a useful point of reference for applicant authorities.
