Ipsos UK was commissioned by Building Digital UK (BDUK) in May 2018 to undertake an evaluation of the wave one projects funded through the Local Full Fibre Network (LFFN). The synthesis report sets out the final evaluation findings for the wave one projects (West Sussex, Tameside, Trans Pennine Initiative and Schools), with the project reports providing a more details breakdown for each of the four projects.
The project reports and synthesis report have all been written as standalone reports, as we understand the audience for these reports will be different. As a result, the reports contain many similar elements.
The synthesis report is helpful for people trying to gain an overview of the LFFN wave one projects as a whole, while the project reports will likely be more of interest to specific stakeholders. For instance, people with a personal or professional interest in telecoms in Tameside might wish to focus on the Tameside report, and will not need to read the synthesis report or other project reports.
The technical annex serves as a more detailed breakdown of the analytical approach taken in the evaluation, and is intended for researchers, analysts and others with an evaluation background.
