This local government finance policy statement outlines the government’s proposals for 2025 to 2026, alongside longer-term plans for reforming local authority funding. The government recognises the value of providing notice and certainty to local government in their budget setting process. We will provide further information, including allocations of funding, at the provisional Settlement in December.
