These directions mirror those for previous Local Involvement Networks (LINks), to require that local authority contracts with independent care providers allow local Healthwatch authorised representatives to enter and view premises.

This also mirrors the NHS standard contract in relation to local Healthwatch authorised representatives entering and viewing the premises of independent providers of NHS-funded care.
