The Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plans (LIDP) competition, run by government in partnership with Innovate UK (IUK), is providing up to £6 million in grant funding to support dispersed industrial manufacturers not located in the UK’s existing industrial clusters to decarbonise and reduce their emissions.
The competitive grant funding will support the advancement of place-based decarbonisation plans that demonstrate collaboration between closely located industrial businesses, and other stakeholders. Industry can benefit from collaborative partnerships in a number of ways, including the sharing of costs across multiple sites, gaining access to a larger pool of resources, and achieving a greater scale of support as they look to reduce emissions.
The LIDP competition ran from 5 June to 2 August 2023.
