This document assesses the impact of streamlining and strengthening the current institutional framework for London: new housing and regeneration powers for the Greater London Authority, abolition of the London Development Agency, limiting the remit of the Homes and Communities Agency to outside London, giving enabling powers to the Mayor to designate development corporations.
