Details

The UK, the Federal Government of Somalia, and the United Nations co-chaired a supporting event on the diaspora and civil society contribution to Somalia took place on 10 May 2017. It provided an opportunity to hear the perspectives of diaspora and civil society, including marginalised groups, on how their skills and experiences can better contribute to peaceful development in Somalia.

Prior to this event a wider civil society consultation took place on 2 May 2017 in Mogadishu on the themes of the London Somalia Conference.
