Guidance to help operators get the most out of longer semi-trailers (LSTs), and ensure that they are operated safely.

LSTs are being brought into general use after an extensive trial, public consultation and regulatory changes. As a new vehicle type, LSTs have specific regulations to abide by.

All operators of LSTs should read the Road Vehicles (Authorisation of Special Types) (General) Order 2003 guide – that governs the use of LSTs.
