Lord Philip Cranworth: application made to abstract water

Lord Philip Cranworth has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Lark, Grundisburgh, Suffolk at National Grid Reference TM 23017 49296.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 54 cubic metres an hour
- 1,296 cubic metres a day
- 80,000 cubic metres a year
- At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 15 litres per second
- between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. The abstraction will be subject to a hands off flow condition to protect the water at times of low river flow.
