Loveden Estates Limited: application made to abstract water

Loveden Estates Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number AN/031/0014/031 which authorises the abstraction of water from Dawsmere Creek at Wiles Farm, Durham Road, Dawsmere at National Grid Reference (NGR) TF 43506 30339.
The variation applied for is: to increase the quantity of water abstracted from 70,000 cubic metres per year to 140,000 cubic metres per year and to change the period of abstraction from winter only to all year. The instantaneous, hourly and daily abstraction rates will not be altered. The proposed abstraction lies within the Holbeach Marsh Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
